This program has literally saved lives. If there's an emergency in the middle of the night and you don't have insurance or CASH, many hospitals won't treat you. We have heard of one specific story where a husband begged the hospital to treat his wife but they refused. He assured them he had the funds in the bank but the bank was closed and he could go in the morning. The hospital still refused. She passed away that evening.
I personally have had the experience of having a loved one in the hospital unable to be discharged because the hospital bill couldn't be paid until the bank transfer was completed and the next day they were able to withdraw the funds. This delay incurred extra charges for the extra night stay for the hospital room while the patient was no longer being watched nor cared for. They just had to wait til the bill was paid.
One of our missions is to help in a cause to allow people (in this case, the Philippines) be medically treated when needed. If you have friends or relatives that have friends and relatives in the Philippines, please pass on the links. Sharing is caring. This program may not be for them but at least they will be aware that it is available.
